So what is this web site all about I hear you cry...?

Basically it is about my adventures and experiences as I travel around Australia. Originally when I first thought of this trip, I planned one big adventure that would take me right around the coast of this great country over a number of months. Well things happen and plans change and I have decided to break the journey into a number of smaller, shorter trips.

First up is the East coast. I’m hoping to travel from Melbourne to the tip of Cape York in Queensland and back. I know there will be some amazing places to discover and explore. I’m not sure if I’ll make it the full way in the time I’ve allowed as I don’t want to rush things and miss the journey.

But this web site is more than just an exploration of this country and the places I find. It is also an exploration of myself as I journey to find balance, grounding and that ever elusive inner peace.

Along the way I’ll be keeping a journal or blog of the adventures, discoveries and personal insight and observations of myself and the world in the Daily Daydream. Also I’ll be uploading galleries of the photo’s I’ll be taking in the Daily Visions area. I’ll also be keeping track of a number of things such as real-world Telecommunications coverage, distances travelled and a number of useful things such as lists of the equipment I’ll take and use and so on. All of this information I’ll make available here in the hope of helping others who may wish to make a similar trip one day.

At the end of all of this I hope to produce a coffee table book of my photography, thoughts and ramblings. I will also be selling any photographs and artwork at my online store over at RedBubble.com. I already have a number of pieces for sale there from work I have done over the years. You can purchase them in a number of formats such as cards, posters, framed prints and mounted canvases.

I hope you find this site enjoyable, useful, insightful and entertaining. I look forward to hearing any comments or questions you may have about the site or anything else. If it looks like I’m heading your way and you feel like offering a nice cup of tea or a cool drink in return for some good conversation, please drop me an email. I’d say call, but who knows when I’ll have reception...
